Culturally-Affirming and Respectful Education and Support (CARES)
For women, children and families

About Us:
AwoGhana is a registered charity with a focus on the wellbeing of women, children and families among underserved populations. Our main focus at AwoGhana is to ensure that families are strengthened. Through our CARES (Culturally-Affirming and Respectful Education and Support) model, we work to harness positive value systems in helping to facilitate and sustain the wellbeing of families and whole communities.
Our focus has always been to ensure that the information, professionals and support made available to women, children and families in terms of their health, education and finances encapsulate a body, mind and heart paradigm, aligning with global perspectives in wellbeing sustainability.
In view of our focus, AwoGhana has initiated several projects including a pregnancy and childbirth manual, a resource book on perinatal mental health, access to qualified experts across the lifespan, a community forum for women and families to help nurture and support each other and free information on its website approved by qualified professionals.
